Today I was informed by my sister, that the daughter of a family friend has passed. She has been struggling with an illness for over a decade. I knew her early in my childhood, and met her a couple time in my teen and early adult year. She was a few years older than me, but it’s still tough to think that someone so young is gone.

It’s time like these that makes you appreciate the life you’re given. Not everyone can be so lucky to be born free of health implications. To be raised in a good family. To grow up in America; with all it’s economic opportunities.

Sometimes we are all so caught up with material things. We forget that sometimes, the immaterial things are equally, if not more valuable.

Rest In Peace, Donna.
